POST PROJECT REVIEW: LESSONS LEARNED

A Performance
Consulting Service

Did you ever wonder why those unimportant, pilot projects always go great and why the important real projects always fail?  It's simple¾ they fail because they are important.  There are many reasons why important projects fail and pilot projects don't, but the most significant reason is the people.

How do you effectively learn from past project mistakes?

Individuals attending this session are involved in one or more of the areas below:
  • Planning the activities of the Project(s).

WHAT THE SESSION PROVIDES
Systems Thinking is a process that allows a team with a common project experience to communicate their different views blamelessly.  By seeing how all the pieces fit together systemically, teams can design future project interventions that really work.  Instead of implementing a solution that creates more problems, this facilitation approach ensures a solution that grows future project management capacity by clearly identifying the causes and effects that are creating the problems.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS LEARN
After the completion of the project assessment, participants will be able to:
  • Define the “Lessons Learned” during the project.

  • Identify what forces are creating the in current project environment.

  • Define the leverage points for intervention in the current situation.

  • Create consensus and collaboration for future projects.
